Payment Policy

How Payments Work
FixBridge collects customer payment for approved mobile service and parts. Here is how the payment process works:
- You receive a secure quote showing the approved total, the job deposit credited toward it, and the remaining approved balance. Unknown problems start with a separate diagnostic.
- You approve the complete price before repair work begins.
- For current repair quotes, the deposit at booking is the approved FixBridge-supplied parts, any approved parts pickup/return, and the tax allocated to them; it can be $0 when no parts or pickup apply. Diagnostic visits and First Car Checks use a $25 booking installment credited toward that service total. A $25 scheduled-return amount applies only when it appears on your quote. The remaining approved balance is due after documented completion. Bookings approved under earlier terms keep their approved charges and timing.
- A failed or incomplete required payment blocks the step it secures until the payment succeeds. Bookings approved under earlier terms keep those approved payment terms, including any service-date labor payment due before dispatch.
- FixBridge purchases and coordinates approved parts; mechanics should not collect parts money from customers.
- After completion photos and notes are submitted and completion is verified, eligible provider payouts are included in the weekly Friday payout cycle.
What You Pay
The complete price shows approved labor, parts, applicable FixBridge service fees, and taxes when applicable. For current quotes, any deposit shown counts once toward the total and the remaining approved balance is due after documented completion. Bookings approved earlier keep their approved terms. You will see and approve the complete amount before work begins; no hidden charges apply.
Payment Security
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. FixBridge does not store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive card data in our systems. Stripe handles all card data in accordance with the highest security standards.
Additional Work
If your mechanic discovers additional work that was not included in the original approved quote, FixBridge will contact you with the additional cost before any work is performed. You must approve and pay any additional charge before that additional work starts. No additional work will be performed or charged without your explicit approval.
Payment to Service Providers
Independent contractor providers are paid by FixBridge after service completion, required documentation, and customer confirmation or other verification required by the payout policy. Eligible payouts are scheduled in the weekly Friday payout cycle, not immediately released. Customers should not pay providers directly. Parts purchased by FixBridge are not deducted from the provider’s approved labor payout.
Pricing Transparency
Your price approval shows labor, parts, the dispatch fee, applicable FixBridge fees, and taxes when applicable. Amounts are based on actual approved job information and configurable fees, not illustrative estimates. The total is clearly displayed and agreed upon before service begins.
